Bomboy Named VP of Global Communications at BeautyBank

BeautyBank, a division of The Estée Lauder Companies,  announced the appointment of Catherine Bomboy to the position of vice president, global communications BeautyBank, effective Feb 11.
 
Ms. Bomboy will be responsible for directing the development and execution of global communications strategies for BeautyBank’s existing brands, which include American Beauty, Flirt!, Good Skin, Grassroots, Daisy Fuentes and the Coach fragrance. And as BeautyBank seeks out new brand opportunities in alternative channels, Ms. Bomboy will oversee communication efforts for all new brands, as well.
 
From 2004 until early 2007, Ms. Bomboy served as executive director at M•A•C Cosmetics and Sean John Fragrances, where she developed and implemented innovative public relations programs that helped drive their growth. Her accomplishments include the United States and European launches of Sean John’s Unforgivable fragrance and spokesperson initiatives with celebrities such as Catherine Deneuve, Pamela Anderson, Eve, Lisa Marie Presley, Dita Von Teese and Debbie Harry for M•A•C’s Beauty Icon and Viva Glam campaigns. Ms. Bomboy also managed media at New York Fashion week shows and helped oversee M•A•C’s sponsorship of New York Fashion Week.
 
Ms. Bomboy is rejoining The Estée Lauder Companies from Marina Maher Communications, where she was vice president of cosmetics, overseeing public relations for CoverGirl and MAX Factor. She had been at the agency from 2002 to 2004, holding roles of increasing responsibility and working on brands such as CoverGirl Cosmetics, Coppertone/Bain de Soleil and Dr. Scholl’s Pedicure Essentials Products. Ms. Bomboy succeeds Kathleen Pierce, who has left the company.
